A15 Maasvlakte - Vaanplein

The A15 Maasvlakte-Vaanplein is a public-private partnership for the realization, financing and long-term maintenance of road works to improve traffic flows and road safety to and from the port on the A15 highway south of Rotterdam over a total length of 37 kilometers. The project is a PPP based on an availability contract with a total nominal value of approximately EUR 1.5 billion with Rijkswaterstaat as public counterparty. Realization was done by a consortium of contractors including Ballast Nedam, Strukton and Strabag. The infrastructure was completed and is fully operational since 2016, after which a 20-year maintenance period started.
